The easiest way to ground yourself is with food and drink.
Yup, that’s right. Drinking some water or a non-alcoholic beverage, or eating some food after your psychic or healing work will help to pull you right back into your body.
If you’ve been to my meditation group or any of my classes you’ll notice that I always provide snacks and encourage my students to eat after meditating, channeling, reading cards or doing healing work such as Reiki.
Water is the most important one to remember here. I recommend drinking water before AND after psychic or healing work.
Try to get the cleanest, purest water you can. I have a water filter jug at home, but mineral or spring water are good too. Tap water is fine if that’s all you have available.
Now, whilst I do recommend grounding before and after healing work, it’s important to note that it’s not usually a good idea to eat a large meal beforehand.
It’s a bit like swimming – leave at least an hour after a meal!
Best practise is to have a large glass of water at hand, and sip some beforehand as a preventative measure, and then drink the rest afterwards to ground you.
At the end of your psychic or healing work, you can also have some food to help bring you back to earth.
TIP
Note that your body might be asking for calories at this point, as psychic work can make you quite hungry.
Don’t fall into the trap of reaching for a chocolate bar! Make sure you have something suitable and balanced available to you, rather than an unhealthy, processed sugar rush.
